Finding your flow

Why yoga is your perfect companion through life’s seasons

Hello lovely ones,

As I sit here reflecting on the beautiful journey that yoga continues to be—not just for me, but for all the wonderful students I’ve had the privilege of supporting through private classes in London and online yin classes—I’m reminded of something quite magical about this practice. Yoga doesn’t just meet us where we are; it grows with us, adapts to us, and becomes exactly what we need, precisely when we need it.

Stepping onto the mat for the very first time or returning after a break (life happens, and that’s perfectly okay!), your yoga journey is uniquely yours. There’s no rush, no pressure, and absolutely no judgment here.

Your body knows what it needs

One of the most beautiful things I witness in my classes is watching students tune into their own bodies. Your body is incredibly wise, and yoga simply gives it the space to communicate with you.

Perhaps today you need the energising challenge of Power Yoga, or maybe your soul is calling for the restorative embrace of Stretch & Align. Both choices are perfect because they’re what you need right now.

The magic of starting small

I often chat with people who feel they need to be flexible before beginning yoga. This is like saying you need to be clean before having a bath!

Yoga is the practice itself. It’s showing up as you are, breathing through the wobbles (we all wobble in tree pose!), and celebrating small victories. Every single time you roll out your mat, you’re already succeeding.

Creating space for what matters

In our beautifully busy lives, particularly here in London and SE16, yoga becomes our sanctuary. From online yin classes in the comfort of your home to meeting in person, it’s that precious hour where your phone is switched off and you can simply be present with yourself.

Through mindful movement and breathwork, we’re creating mental space, reducing anxiety, and reconnecting with the calm that already exists within us.

Speaking of creating the perfect space for practice, one of my favourite tools for enhancing meditation and relaxation is a good quality yoga bolster. I absolutely love this Yogamatters Bolster – it’s incredibly supportive for restorative poses and makes those longer yin holds so much more comfortable. Perfect for your home practice!

Your journey, your pace

You might be drawn to flowing Vinyasa or meditative Yin—your practice is exactly that, yours. Some days you’ll feel ready for arm balances. Other days, child’s pose might be your greatest achievement, and that’s absolutely perfect too.

I’m here to support you every step of the way with modifications, encouragement, and gentle reminders to breathe.

Come as you are

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga or returning to your practice, you don’t need special clothes or perfect flexibility. You just need curiosity and the willingness to be kind to yourself.

Private classes in London or online sessions—your mat is waiting, and so am I. Remember, yoga isn’t about perfecting poses—it’s about coming home to yourself, one breath at a time.

With love and light,
Larthia
