Yoga essentials

My favourite mats, props, books… and more!

No-slip yoga mats

THE yoga mat. If you are looking into investing in a mat that is incredibly great quality and will last you for years and years, this is definitely your best bet!

A really well-made yoga mat! I was pleasantly surprised about the quality for this price! Not slippy at all, super comfortable, and also incredibly beautiful!

Thin and lightweight, this cork mat is a sustainable, non-toxic alternative to plastic yoga mats. The cork surface is also naturally non-slip.

A lightweight TPE yoga mat, perfect if you just started practising and need an affordable good non-slip mat! This one is also eco-friendly and recyclable.

This baby lives in my backpack! Extremely compact, non-slippy and lightweight, it comes with me every time I travel so I can bring my practice everywhere!

I haven’t personally tried this one but heard many positive reviews from friends. Foldable, lightweight and great quality for the price!

Yoga props

An essential tool to enter asanas safely and deeper, but also great to strengthen muscles and improve flexibility, as you are able to achieve a wider range of motion.

I chose these just for the bright colours as foam blocks are all of the same quality. They are essential for any level of practice. Oh, remember that cats love them too!

Very firm, denser, and heavier than foam blocks, and your hands won’t slide around on a cork block. They’re a great long-term investment.

Yoga wheels are great to practise supported backbends and to counteract too much time at your desk. They can help preventing injuries.

Bolsters are wonderful for supporting the body during your practice. They are typically used to create relaxation, help soften postures and open the body.

Malas are used as a tool to help the mind focus on meditation, or count mantras in sets of 108 repetitions. The beads can be made of seeds, wood, or gemstones.

Books

Other useful stuff

(A bit of self-publicity) This is my little planner to keep track of your yearly, monthly & weekly goals and set up your schedule!

Please, stop buying single-use plastic bottles and invest in a stainless steel one! These reusable water bottles last forever and hold the temperature for hours.

Essential oils and fragrances can really elevate your practice! I love to diffuse these. Just be careful if you use essential oils on the skin and don’t ingest them!

Great to diffuse oils and fragrances in the room. I prefer this method to candles, as it doesn’t leave that burning smell afterwards.

Easily cleanse your home and decor with the ancient practice of smudging. Take a deep breath and feel stress instantly melt away! This company gives also back to charity!
